The first day of school….
Description
This is Abi’s first day of school – ever. She was excited, nervous, scared…and so grown up! Emma – going into 2nd grade – was cool and smooth…she had this routine down! We had a pancake breakfast, got hair and teeth brushed, new clothes ironed and one, backpacks loaded up – and out the door! After finding the girls’ classrooms and (re)meeting their teachers, we headed for the playground and a chance to meet up with friends from the community and from the previous year! Abi finally found her very good friend, Brittany, while Emma and her ‘completely best friend EVER!’, Rachel, found each other after just a couple of minutes! About 15 minutes later, the bell rang and it was time for classes to start, and my little girls headed off for their first day of school … leaving me and Connor to go for a bike ride and go into town – alone!
